Despite the 30 years of injustice, and the ongoing legal battle, and lack of a judicial review, the General Medical Council are fully aware their members should be honest and open about errors, yet it is absolutely clear these guidelines are NOT being heeded or enforced. This needs to be made a legal obligation through the implementation of Robbie's Law. We have obligatory oath in a court of law, there is no reason why similar legal requirements shouldn't be put into law for clinicians reporting errors, that are clearly life changing for both patients and their families.
